Newsletter December 2013
A warm and sunny welcome to another edition of Anahata Dharana. Our theme for this issue is Mindfulness - a state of active, open attention on the present.
We also want to take this opportunity to wish you a very peaceful Christmas and New Year filled with abundance!
With summer here, things are warming up again at Anahata. We have been enjoying the moment with delicious abundance from our gardens and polytunnel, and also staying focused on maintaining a more sustainable environment by 'upcycling'. See the Anahata News section for updates.
This October we had the pleasure of enjoying the wisdom and experience of Swami Neelmani to guide and lead the activities at Anahata while Swami Karma Karuna ran the annual retreats in India and attended the all-exciting World Yoga Convention. You can read news on what happened at the heart of the Satyananda tradition in the Special Report section. You can also read about a participant's experience of one of Anahata's annual retreats in the India section..
See our Event News to catch up on recent events held at Anahata, and some of our exciting line up and guest teachers for 2014. Anahata Yoga Health and Education Trust remains committed to supporting local and national events so that the benefits and fruits of Satyananda Yoga can be shared with more people. Read more about The Spirit of Golden Bay in New Zealand, as well as an incredible young man on a journey with yoga.
Anahata has been a place of inspiration and change in many lives. In this edition read the inspiring story of Emilea Smith who came to Anahata earlier in the year, and found a new direction for her life, in the Living Yoga section which also shows the benefits one experiences when being in the moment through living a yogic lifestyle.
Enjoy discovering the benefits of mindfulness in our Practical Tools section, as well as some great gift ideas for Christmas in our Products section. We have included a scrumptious Christmas recipe from for you to enjoy in the Yogic Diet. We hope you enjoy every moment of this edition as much as we are.
