Newsletter January 2015
Welcome to another edition of the Anahata Dharana newsletter. The theme for this edition is the energy of transformation and how healing and beneficial change can be. Anahata has certainly had a period of transition and transformation, and it seems that life continues to give new challenges to keep testing our ability to live the yogic principles and use life's experiences for transformation. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy New Year!
We have wonderful new residents and volunteers bringing new depth and insights to our mountain top family. You can read about some of the new team members and some other developments in the Anahata News section, as well as getting to know our residents better in the Living Yoga section. If you are interested in joining our team, read further in Positions Available.
Our Features section includes an in-depth article about sankalpa (resolution) and Yoga Nidra. Read about this in the Events News section as well as our bumper line-up of international guest teachers coming to teach at Anahata over the next few months. Such as acclaimed Nada Yogi Swami Muktimurti, Anahata regular, Swami Gyan Dharma, two new teachers Swami Muktibodha offering Kriya Yoga and Swami Anandakumar teaching in-depth meditation retreats.
Of course with transformation there is often destruction, which allows for renewal and rebuilding to take place. As time and storms have taken their toll on our main building Surya it is in urgent need of repair. Read about this and an update on the good work being carried out by the Anahata Yoga Health and Education Trust, and lots more in the Trust section.
Participants from this year's fully guided India retreats have shared their experience of the retreats and Silver Jubilee Celebrations.
Delicious and traditional indian recipe for you to enjoy on the Yogic Diet page and the transformative and beneficial effects of meditation practice Antar Darshan are explored on the Practical Tools page.
We are very excited to have received our new shipment of books from India, including "old" bestsellers as well as some practical "new" editions - check out the Products page. Season's Greetings to you all - see you in the New Year!
