Newsletter October 2015
We are now receiving applications for our next intake of people to fill core roles here at Anahata Yoga Retreat. These positions work as an exchange of skills and time, for food, accommodation and teachings in yogic practices.
We consider applications from all ages and backgrounds, including both NZ residents and overseas visitors (with the appropriate Visa). Previous yoga experience is not essential however, a desire to learn about yoga, and to be an integrated member of the Anahata community while you are here, is important.
Anahata offers you immersion in to a daily yogic lifestyle which encompasses simplistic living, time out from the hustle and bustle of modern life, a healthy vegetarian diet and the most beautiful natural surroundings. We have a weekly schedule of yoga, meditation, chanting (sound vibration), Kirtan and we carry out assigned duties that contribute to the overall running of the Anahata community and retreat center.
For those of you who are completely new to the wider yogic philosophies you will find the environment challenges you to really look inwards as you work and live alongside others. The days start early and are highly structured to provide the mind and body with an excellent routine and discipline around work, yogic practices, meals and personal time for reflection.
Spaces are limited and you will need to be available to start in November (actual dates can be flexible).
For the core roles we need a commitment of a minimum of three months* (opportunities to extend your time here may also be possible when we complete the next intake in January as current Sevaks will have first consideration.
If you are unable to stay for this length of time or do not have the skills required for the core roles please email email@example.com find out more about our Karma Yogi stays.
Core roles starting in November are:
