Newsletter October 2015
We've had and are having some fantastic events this year and have more to look forward to in 2016...
Our winter events unfolded beautifully with a highlight being the Auckland Yoga Therapy Centre’s anniversary celebration, which gathered more than 30 of us in celebration of yoga and its applications. In August, Swami Karma Karuna and Sannyasin Atmabhava were joined for a lovely yoga reunion at Tauhara Retreat, Taupo to explore the depths of mudras and pranas. This has inspired us to go more deeply into this incredible and rarely taught aspect of yoga.
Preparation is already underway for the November "Permaculture Design Certificate & Yoga Course". If you want tools and inspiration to live more sustainably both internally and externally, sign up now! Also check out the Features section for a special interview featuring how Yoga and Permaculture fit together…
NOW with spring in the air in the Southern Hemisphere, the awakening of nature is activating a corresponding inner awakening. Here at Anahata we have been experiencing the powerful practices of "Kriya Yoga" with Swami Muktibodha, joined by teachers and students from around the country.
Swami Muktibodha has already agreed to return in 2016 from Sept 28 - Oct 2 so mark your calendars!
Our "Yoga Nidra and Basic Breathing Instructors" trainees are currently undergoing their final assessments. We are already highly impressed with the quality of their teaching and can’t wait to see them out there sharing these precious tools. We are looking forward to the next course, planned for April 2016. Please pass this on to any practitioners and professionals you know who would benefit from this training and email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to register your interest.
We are also going to be moving from 2015 into 2016 with our popular yearly "Creating Change" Retreat so plan to join us at Anahata to bring your conscious intentions into the New Year.
In January we have the "Bhakti Event at 2000 feet", opening the heart with visiting sound teacher Chakradhyan and expert in conscious food Sun Hyland; singing, eating and doing Yoga at 2000 feet!
In February, we welcome Swami Satyadharma, author and senior teacher, with her depth of knowledge. A not to be missed event!
Also, look out for a meditation retreat in March guided by Swami Kailash, with significant periods of silence. The "Yoga Nidra and Basic Breathing Instructors" course returns in April, and in May we welcome back Swami Muktimurti for Nada Yoga - exploring Sound and the Chakras.
New courses for 2016 include a "Conscious Relationships" retreat, and regular "Hatha Yoga Immersion" courses exploring modern as well as the historical applications of Hatha Yoga. We also bring to you regular "Deep Rest and Recharge" retreats - R & R in a stunning environment with nurturing Yoga practices!
Our signature "Explore Your 'Self'" retreat, always popular to support the inner exploration is still on offer, and Swami Karma Karuna will be around Anahata sharing the wisdom of her experience most of the summer, as well as teaching at festivals in Nelson and Auckland.
Join us soon to tune up your inner environment and enjoy the abundant nature available to you at Anahata.
