“The world cannot be changed unless we first re-pattern and upgrade the quality of our own thinking patterns, emotional responses and consciousness...” ~Swami Vibhooti Saraswati; “Transforming the Inner and Outer Environments”
The theme of this edition of Anahata Dharana is ‘sustainability’, both inner and outer. While environmental protection is a present and important topic there is equally a need to take care of our own inner physical, emotional, mental and spiritual environment.
Related to this topic, Anahata is bringing back the classical Permaculture Design Certificate Course but with the integration of Yoga. Enjoy an interview with Robina and Divyajyoti in our Feature section about how yogic philosophy, practice and lifestyle will be integrated into the classical Permaculture course, and check out the Products section for a special offer on Divyajyoti’s book "Nature's Creation - Knowledge & Guidance through Healing Plants".
Get a preview of 2016 upcoming Events. To wet your appetite we have: 'Bhakti Yoga - Sound and Conscious Food Event at 2000 Feet' with Chakradhyan, Swami Satyadharma, Swami Kailash meditation retreat, 'Sound and the Chakras' with Swami Muktimurti, plus our second ever 'Yoga Nidra Instructors Training' and new topics on the horizon - something for everyone!
Former Anahata resident Christoffel Hendrickx shares his personal story and transformation with Yoga and Yogic Studies in Living Yoga. In the Trust section, an update on the repairs to our main house “Surya”, and in Anahata News, a beautiful neighbouring Birds Clearing real estate opportunity and update on the cell phone tower situation.
In our modern environment, it is easy to become isolated from nature. For a practice of renewing your connection with nature, the rejuvenating practice of “Tree Puja” is offered in the Practical Tools section – this is particularly appropriate at this changeover of the seasons and even more so during the auspicious time of Navaratri coming from Oct 13th – 22nd.
The concepts of yoga ecology help us to reconnect with the rhythms of nature from the most external aspect right through to the internal world. We hope you will take the opportunity to re-connect with the rhythms of nature, wherever you are, for the sake of sustainability both personally and globally and look forward to seeing you soon here at Anahata or elsewhere.
